Having spent so much time on the eMTB lately, switching back to the non-electric gravel bike is definitely a bit of a shock to the legs! 😂🚴‍♀️ You quickly realise just how much help that motor has been giving you, especially when the road starts pointing uphill! Today I had a good ride up from the valley bottom, and without that little electric push behind me, every metre of climbing had to be earned the old-fashioned way. 🥵⛰️ It definitely felt like extra hard work, but at the same time, that’s part of what I love about riding the gravel bike. There’s something really satisfying about finding your own rhythm, working through the gears and knowing it’s completely your legs getting you higher and higher. The eMTB is amazing for exploring further, tackling steeper trails and squeezing more adventure into a ride, but I think it can also make you appreciate a normal bike even more when you switch back. Tired legs at the top… but a very happy cyclist! 😁💪🚴‍♀️ Do you find your normal bike feels twice as hard after spending a lot of time on an e-bike? 😂
