The walls are closing in on Russ Holliday () in Season 2 of , as evidenced by the trailer released Thursday. Now that Ricky (Perry Mattfeld) has figured out the disgraced former Oregon quarterback has been donning prosthetics and pretending to be a college student again to lead the Catfish to a National Championship, it’s only a matter of time before other people find out, too.

After all, Russ is not a very good liar, and pretty much everything about the persona he’s created as Chad Powers raises eyebrows.

In Season 2, Chad Powers is a superstar on the field but his odd behavior off it has everyone suspicious – especially Coach Hudson and Gerry. The walls are closing in on Russ’s lie, and if he and Danny want Chad to survive the regular season and lead the Catfish to the CFP, the only person who can help them is the last person who wants to: Ricky.

Chad Powers Season 2 premieres on September 3.
