Stuart Fails To Save The Universe has its future confirmed by HBO Max

It may not even be halfway through releasing its first season, but The Big Bang Theory spin-off Stuart Fails to Save the Universe has already been renewed for a second run.

The renewal came after season 1 became HBO Max's second-biggest comedy launch ever globally. Details regarding returning cast members, story and more for season 2 are still under wraps, and likely won't be known until at least after season 1 finishes airing.

On the announcement, Amy Gravitt, EVP, HBO programming, head of HBO & HBO Max comedy series, said in a statement: "We’re delighted with how this hilarious, genre-bending show from Chuck [Lorre], Zak [Penn], and Bill [Prady] has connected with the audience, both devotees of The Big Bang Theory and new fans alike.

"Along with everyone else, we can’t wait to see the worlds they conjure for these beloved characters next season."

"It’s been an absolute joy to see audiences embrace this next iteration so passionately, and we can't wait to continue exploring the multiverse in season two."

The first season has starred Kevin Sussman as Stuart, Lauren Lapkus as Denise, Brian Posehn as Bert and John Ross Bowie as Kripke, and seen Stuart tasked with restoring reality after he broke a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon.
