Following eight years of growing Sirena Yachts’ presence in the United States, Constantinos K. Constantinou is stepping down. Ensar Çabuk (above), who has worked alongside him since 2023, is taking over. He already has his sights set on further expansion, and beyond American borders.
Türkiye-based Sirena Yachts has earned strong success stateside, across its production-boat models and its flagship series, the Sirena 88. In fact, in 2023, the shipyard said 40 to 50 percent of its sales were coming from American customers. Overall, the builder has experienced rapid growth since becoming its own brand in 2016. (Prior to that, it was a supplier to the Azimut-Benetti Group, plus built sailing yachts under its parent company’s name, Sirena Marine.)
Although Çabuk is new to his role, he’s already familiar with Sirena’s U.S. clientele and dealer network. Since 2023, he has been a country manager for Sirena Yachts USA, based in Fort Lauderdale. Similarly, his experience with the shipyard goes back several years. He became a design engineer for it in 2011, with training as a naval architect and marine engineer under his belt. With a master’s degree in yacht design, too, Çabuk went on to become the project manager for the Sirena 58 and 64 production yachts. Subsequently, he took on sales management, growing Sirena’s international dealer connections and footprint.
Çabuk says he’s looking forward to building on the momentum from the past several years. “Together, we will strengthen our presence across North America and the Americas,” he says, as well as add more dealers.
Despite stepping down, Constantinou isn’t departing the company. Instead, he’s becoming a senior advisor. “I am delighted to see Ensar take the helm,” he says, also citing Sirena Yachts’ growth stateside. “Having worked alongside him for many years, I know that his deep technical knowledge, commercial experience, and commitment to our customers make him exceptionally well suited to lead Sirena Yachts USA into its next chapter and look forward to supporting him along the way.”
The move coincides with Sirena Superyachts, Sirena Yachts’ large-yacht division, preparing to showcase its first project. Hull number one of the Sirena 42M yacht, christened last month (above), makes her global debut at the Monaco Yacht Show next month. Constantinos Constantinou told us in a 2022 interview that Sirena Yachts was “very confident stepping into that bigger size range.” In fact, he pointed out, “The U.S. stands at the top of country rankings for yachts over 30 meters.” He further added, “We expect U.S. yacht buyers to be mightily impressed by their innovative design concepts and features.”
