Chanel Is Once Again the World’s Hottest Fashion Brand

Chanel has retained its position as the world’s hottest fashion brand, taking the top spot in the Lyst Index for the second quarter of 2026.   The French luxury house maintained its lead following the release of its Coco Beach and Métiers d’Art collections. Its eyewear also proved particularly popular, with searches for Chanel sunglasses increasing by 70 per cent during the quarter.   The result also comes during Matthieu Blazy’s first full year as Chanel’s Artistic Director of Fashion Activities. His Spring/Summer 2026 debut introduced a fresh interpretation of the house’s codes, balancing exceptional craftsmanship with lightness, modern proportions and wearability. His first Métiers d’Art collection continued that direction, bringing renewed creative energy to one of Chanel’s most important expressions of savoir-faire.   Matthieu Blazy While the Lyst Index does not attribute Chanel’s ranking to a single factor, the attention surrounding Blazy’s early collections has added to the momentum around the house. Chanel itself has acknowledged the excitement generated by his arrival, while his debut earned strong initial reactions from the fashion industry.   Miu Miu followed in second place, rising two positions as demand grew for its seasonal accessories. Crochet bags, sunglasses and the brand’s continuing New Balance collaboration with tennis star Coco Gauff helped drive a 30 per cent increase in consumer interest.   Celine was another significant mover, climbing five places to number 15 following a 31 per cent rise in demand, suggesting shoppers are responding positively to Michael Rider’s direction. Chloé and Jacquemus also gained momentum as interest shifted towards summer dressing.   Phoebe Philo entered the index for the first time at number 18, while Issey Miyake saw demand double. Searches for its Madame-T design rose by 501 per cent, securing second place in the hottest products ranking. Thai label Voranida and Literary Sport were also highlighted as emerging names to watch.
