And he proved to be a man of his word, unveiling his new hairstyle on Instagram.

Gavi is not the first Spain player to have changed his appearance due to the triumph in the United States, Canada and Mexico with left-back Marc Cucurella fulfilling his pledge to get a tattoo of De la Fuente’s face.
Gavi made two appearances at the World Cup. He started the opening game against Cape Verde, a disappointing goalless draw, but then lost his place in the side with his only other contribution coming as a late substitute in the round of 32 win over Austria.
