BREAKING: Vinicius Junior on verge of signing new Real Madrid contract

Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior is set to sign a new contract at the club amid transfer interest from Arsenal.

According to reports, the Brazilian is on the verge of accepting the new terms provided by the Spanish giants, after two years of negotiations.

With just one year left on his current deal, Vinicius was pushing closer to terms that would see him among the highest-paid players on the planet, alongside team-mate Kylian Mbappe.

And it appears he will get what he is after, and Arsenal’s transfer pursuit of the 26-year-old will end in failure.

It is not all doom and gloom for the Premier League champions, though, as they are set to land Vinicius’ international team-mate, Bruno Guimaraes.

Newcastle have sanctioned the £75million sale of their captain, who will partner Declan Rice in the middle of the park.

For Vinicius Junior, another new era begins under Jose Mourinho.

The Los Blancos boss has reportedly been on the phone to his star winger every day in an attempt to get him to renew his contract, as he looks to bridge the gap between his side and Spanish champions Barcelona.

Much of the concern about the Brazilian’s renewal centred around his image rights, and an initial signing on bonus.
