Buckminster Fuller explains his life's work in 42 hours

Over the last two weeks of January 1975, Buckminster Fuller, the designer who popularized the geodesic dome, gave a series of lectures walking through his entire life's work. "Everything I Know" runs 42 hours. The Buckminster Fuller Institute has posted the full transcript, and the video is at the Internet Archive.

He covers the 1927 Dymaxion house, car, and bathroom, the Wichita House, geodesic domes, tensegrity, and his synergetic geometry, plus cartography, economics, and education. The transcript catches him taking stock partway through: by Section 9 he is about 26 hours in, and says he has held a picture in his head of everything he has said so far, without working from notes.

A volunteer, JoAnne Ishimine, typed the whole thing from the audiotapes. The institute left the text rough on purpose — the transcripts are "minimally edited and maximally Fuller," thick with what it calls "unique Bucky-isms."
