DuckDuckGo's answer to Meta's smart glasses is regular sunglasses

DuckDuckGo, the search engine that built its whole pitch on not tracking you, now sells a pair of sunglasses. The $35 Paso Robles never needs charging, skips the smartphone app, and works with no internet connection. DuckDuckGo says that's by design, so the person standing next to you doesn't have to wonder if they're being filmed. They're just sunglasses.

The target is obviously Meta's smart glasses, which sell for $379 and come with a built-in camera for recording point-of-view video — the exact feature that makes people nervous around anyone wearing a pair. DuckDuckGo put its own logo right where that camera would normally sit.

Hannes Brecher at Notebookcheck calls the whole launch a "marketing stunt," and it's hard to argue. The actual product is polarized lenses, UV400 protection, and a lifetime warranty, all made by Knockaround, who will sell you a pair right now. Shipping and import fees apply if you're ordering the joke from outside the US.
