Scott Eastwood's agents tried to dissuade him from starring in a Taylor Swift music video.

The 40-year-old actor appeared in the 2015 music video for Taylor's Wildest Dreams single, and he's now opened up about the process of working with the Grammy-winning star.
During an appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Scott shared: "I remember telling my agents and none of them wanted me [to do it].
"They were like, ‘This is a bad idea … do not do a Taylor Swift music video.’ And I said, ‘Nah, you know, I don’t agree. I think that she’s cool and she has a really cool idea for this thing and I think it’s a cool creative thing. So let’s do it.'"
Scott recalled being surprised when Taylor, 36, reached out to him.
The actor explained: "She just picked up the phone and called me.
"She called and I had no pre-warning. You know, a lot of times people are like, ‘Hey, somebody wants to call you.’ And then they call you, right? But she’s like, ‘Hey, this is Taylor Swift.’ [I’m like], ‘OK, prove it!’"
Scott was "intrigued" by the video's concept and by Taylor's ambition.
He said: "I was intrigued because of the creative behind the video, mostly.
"She wanted to do, like, an out-of-Africa type thing. It was this cinematic film and the music industry, they don’t do that anymore.
"It’s not the ‘90s and we don’t have these big sort of videos. There’s only a couple of artists, like Taylor Swift, [where] you can do that or afford to make these sort of things."
Scott is the son of Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood - but he previously played down suggestions that his family ties have helped his career.
The movie star told the Irish Times newspaper: "To be honest, the film business is not a business where, just because your dad is an actor, you get to be an actor. It's like any other line of work. It's all built on reputation and on your work ethic.
"There are a ton of talented people out there. But they are too hard to work with. Or they are a pain in the a**. Or they just don't have the drive or dedication. It doesn't matter who you are: it doesn't mean they are going to be putting you in movies. You can't just show up."
