There’s a different build-up to the game tonight.
The toss took place in the press conference room, which is between the two clubs’ change rooms.
Instead of both clubs running onto the field about 10 to 15 minutes before the game, they’re entering the arena about two to three minutes before the first siren.
The floodlights are off in the MCG, replaced by lights from mobile phones.

The Pies ran out to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Heads Will Roll. Not sure the supporters will be waving the scarves to that. I’m showing my age, but I’ve got no idea what the Cats have been welcomed with.
