Renowned Irish singer songwriter Glen Hansard has died, his publicist has confirmed.
The Frames frontman was killed in a motorcycle crash overnight near Strawberry Beds in Chapelizod in Dublin.
He won a number of major awards, including the 2008 Academy Award for Best Original Song for "Falling Slowly" with co-writer and co-star Markéta Irglová.
