There’s Something Just So Funny About This Movie

If you want to feel like a dinosaur, There’s Something About Mary came out 28 years ago today (July 15).

It was playing on one of those “classic comedy” movie channels the other day, and I thought, “Classic? This is contemporary.”

So, naturally, I sat through most of it and man, it still slaps.

The zipper scene is perfect.

This movie perfectly portrays Ben Stiller playing an immensely awkward character throughout the late ’90s and early 2000s, and the dynamic between all the characters’ obsession with Mary is layered out so perfectly.

Highly recommended rewatch.
