GTA 6 First Official Gameplay Shows Us Game's Massive World

We really are finally closing in on the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI, more than a year beyond the date we were originally supposed to be playing it. With the game set to arrive in November (and that does look pretty nailed on at this point), the final run-up to the big day should see several major things happening for fans to look forward to.

The third trailer is obviously the most exciting of those, with many expecting that in the coming days, particularly given the release date for the third Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer. We should also get a proper gameplay reveal in the days before the game drops, and plenty more about all of the features that are set to be included in the single-player.

Now, another brief video has emerged online, and it really shows off just how much the devil is going to be in the details with this one.

Over on Twitter/X, the user HYPEX shared a very short in-game teaser video, that shows Vice City humming with life at night. Helicopters fly in the sky, boats move in and out of the harbor, and cranes rotate as they try to go about their various constructions. There's no doubt that it does look beautiful from this macro perspective, and there were plenty of players who wanted to weigh in with their own thoughts.

"Rockstar just dropped the most beautiful 8 seconds in gaming history. Vice City at night is unreal," one response read.

While another added, "Oh my god LOOOOK AT IT. So f**king gorgeous. My fav location is returning and going to be even bigger!"

"I'm taking my vacation to coincide with the release of this game. People better not talk to me unless they call me Jason," a third joked.

Though we have still seen frustratingly little of the game so far, the fact that Rockstar has now opened up pre-orders absolutely means they are confident of launching on the currently scheduled date.

Until things start to get moving again, all we can really do is sit tight and wait to hear more from official sources. Happily, GTA V is still getting plenty of support, so if you do need a bit of a fix in the meantime, then that remains your best bet for the time being, particularly if you're happy to jump into the multiplayer to play the current events.
