Police launch murder investigation into death of Ann Widdecombe
Police are investigating Ann Widdecombe's death.
Devon and Cornwall Police are expected to issue an update later this afternoon.
A spokesman for the coroner's office for the county of Devon, Plymouth and Torbay said: "Preliminary inquiries are ongoing."
The 78-year-old's death was announced by her management this morning.
