Prince Harry and Meghan Makle Brought Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to Meet with King Charles Today
Prince Harry's children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have met with King Charles this afternoon, T&C can confirm. The Sussex family all met the King and Queen privately at Highgrove today. The meeting followed much speculation about whether or not Meghan, Archie and Lilibet would even come to the UK after their plans were changed at the last minute due to security concerns. Harry arrived in London alone on Monday and Meghan did not appear alongside him today in Birmingham as has been originally planned. There were no further details about today's meeting from either side, save to confirm that it happened. This is the first time that the King has seen Harry's children since 2022 when they came to the UK for Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee.During that trip, the family is believed to have received police protection as they were there for a State occasion. However, Harry was not happy with the level of protection they were offered for this trip and as such changed the family's plans. The Prince fought and lost a court battle to have his security reviewed while in the UK. Since he and Megan stepped back as working royals in 2020 they have not had guaranteed police protection. The Sussexes are thought to only be staying briefly in the UK as a family. There have been rumors they will travel to Princess Diana's childhood home and final resting place Althorp Estate.Town & Country Contributing Editor Victoria Murphy has reported on the British Royal Family since 2010.
