Introducing – The Oris Divers Date, now with Olive Green Dial

The Divers Date is one of the most recognisable watches in the modern Oris collection, tracing its design inspiration back to the brand’s first dive-ready watch of 1965. For several years, this retro look was popularised by the Divers Sixty-Five, introduced in 2015 and offered in countless colours, materials and configurations. In 2024, however, Oris thoroughly revised the model. Renamed the Divers Date, the collection received a redesigned case, upgraded specs and improved materials while retaining its familiar vintage character. Two years later, the series welcomes a new addition, a model with a military-styled olive green dial.

The new Oris Divers Date Olive Green is technically identical to the Divers Date introduced in 2024. The stainless steel case measures a compact 39mm in diameter, 12.1mm thick and 46.5mm lug-to-lug. Compared to the former Divers Sixty-Five, the case has a slightly smaller diameter and shorter profile, with the thicker middle case and slimmer caseback. The unidirectional rotating bezel was also re-engineered for better grip and rigidity. It is fitted with a black ceramic insert, a notable upgrade over the aluminium bezels commonly associated with the brand’s vintage-inspired dive watches. A double-domed sapphire crystal, anti-reflective coating and a screw-down crown complete the package. Water resistance is rated at 200m, twice that of many earlier Divers Sixty-Five models.

The news is, of course, the dial. Joining the black, steel blue and soft beige colours launched with the revamped collection, this new version features an olive green dial inspired by vintage military equipment. The brand still offers a 40mm Divers Sixty-Five Date with a green dial, “inspired by the natural green hues of the forests that surround our Hölstein home”, paired with a matching bezel, should you be interested in the earlier green-dialled model.

The dial design with the collection-specific typography introduced in 2024 remains, with applied, bevelled hour markers filled with Super-LumiNova, and the luminous hour and minute hands. The central seconds hand features a lumed lollipop element. A date window is at 6 o’clock.

The watch is powered by the Oris calibre 733, an automatic movement based on the Sellita SW-200, itself a clone of the ETA 2824. Visible through the exhibition caseback, it operates at 28,800 vibrations/hour and delivers a 41-hour power reserve. Functions include central hours, minutes, hacking seconds, and an instantaneous date display.

The new Oris Divers Date Olive Green is delivered as a set with the riveted-style stainless steel bracelet and an additional black rubber strap. Both feature the quick-change system introduced with the redesigned collection. Available immediately from the permanent collection, the new Oris Divers Date Olive Green is priced at CHF 2,450 or EUR 2,450. For more information, please visit oris.ch.
