Here is my entry for my South Asian Heritage Month Collab !Of course I must make an entry too. I decided to use an old OC I had lying around. Although I don’t have Bengali heritage, I decided that I should delve in and research a different country than the one of my ancestors! This was really informative, and I learnt that Bengali clothing is very similar to Indian clothing, but with some key differences in material that makes them unique. This is probably due to the different religious demographics present in the country. In general, clothes from Bangladesh have a higher focus on weight and are lighter, due to the humidity of the region. As such, I decided to design my entry based off one unique celebration they have - Pahela Bakshakh (Bengali New Year’s)! Noticed that the colours and celebration look familiar?
