Amazon's Selling a Charming Hummingbird Swing That Gives Tiny Visitors a Place to Rest

You might already have a swing set in your backyard—but the birds can’t get much use out of that one. They can utilize this charming hummingbird swing, though.

As someone who’s been covering all the latest bird houses, bird feeders, and watering stations (my personal favorite is this vintage tub-shaped bath), you’d think I would’ve had my bases covered regarding bird swings. Alas, I came across one for the first time today, and I’m so happy I did.

Hummingbird Swing (Set of 2)

This particular swing is designed to provide hummingbirds with a comfortable place to perch in between feeding times. According to the brand, it’s made with weather-coated steel and has a 6-inch-wide base. Not to mention, it’s decorated with whimsical butterflies and vines to help give your garden a romantic look.

Apparently, you’re supposed to hang the swing 1 foot away from your hummingbird feeder (note that a 15-inch chain is included). That way, your winged visitor can take a brief rest in between nectar-snacking sessions.

Amazon shoppers are praising the little swing, with one person writing, “So fun for our hummingbirds to take a little rest on! They are larger than I thought and the birds really do use them.” Another customer said, “The hummingbirds love it.”

If you end up buying the swing and don’t have much luck with attracting hummingbirds, there are a few things you do that might help. According to experts we interviewed recently, you can add more brightly colored flowers to your garden (bonus points if they’re tubular), add a water feature, and make sure your feeder is clean. And speaking of feeders, have you seen these antique-style ones? They’re honestly so gorgeous I’d want to display them inside my home.

Have fun with it; there truly are so many creative bird essentials on the market. And once your yard is hummingbird friendly, you can peacefully wait for their arrival.
