2027 Lamborghini Urus SE Performante Turns Hybrid Power Into an 801-HP Super SUV Statement

Automotive

Lamborghini is making it clear that electrification has not softened the Urus. The 2027 Lamborghini Urus SE Performante arrives as the sharper, angrier, and more powerful version of the plug-in hybrid super SUV, building on the already wild Urus SE with more power, more carbon fiber, smarter suspension tech, and revised aerodynamics. For anyone worried that the Performante badge might lose its edge in the hybrid era, this SUV looks ready to quiet that concern quickly.

The formula starts with the familiar twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 paired with an electric motor, but Lamborghini has turned up the wick. Output rises to 801 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque, making this the most powerful Urus yet. Lamborghini says the all-wheel-drive SUV can sprint to 62 mph in just 3.3 seconds and reach 124 mph in 10.8 seconds, numbers that would have sounded ridiculous for a family-sized SUV not that long ago.

The plug-in hybrid system is not just about straight-line drama, either. A 26-kWh battery gives the Urus SE Performante more than 30 miles of electric-only driving range, meaning it can creep through town quietly before waking up the V8 when the road opens up. The eight-speed automatic transmission has also been recalibrated to reduce delay between shifts, while a new Akrapovič titanium exhaust gives the Performante a more expressive soundtrack at low speeds and under hard acceleration.

Lamborghini also worked to make the Urus SE Performante feel more responsive despite its size. The SUV still weighs more than 5,400 pounds, but extensive carbon-fiber use helps shave roughly 70 pounds compared with the standard Urus SE. Exposed carbon fiber appears across the body, including the hood, wheel arches, and available roof, while the larger front openings, new 23-inch wheels, and aero-focused vents give the Performante a more serious look with actual functional benefits.

Aerodynamics play a major role in the upgrade. Out back, a roof-mounted wing, lip spoiler, and the largest diffuser ever fitted to an Urus help increase stability at speed. Lamborghini says the SE Performante produces 23 percent more downforce than the standard Urus SE while cutting aerodynamic drag by 3 percent. That is the kind of detail that separates this from a simple appearance package, especially for buyers who may actually explore the SUV’s performance limits.

The chassis receives one of the most important changes with a new dual-chamber air suspension system, replacing the single-chamber setup found in the standard Urus SE. Lamborghini says the new hardware helps reduce body roll by 55 percent during spirited driving while improving comfort compared with the previous nonhybrid Urus Performante. The SE Performante also gets Lamborghini’s 6-D sensor system, which monitors movement across multiple axes and feeds data to the vehicle’s control systems to adjust its behavior in real time.

Inside, the Performante treatment continues with carbon-fiber trim, microsuede upholstery, revised graphics for the 12.3-inch touchscreen, and available red stitching and stripes for a more aggressive look. A new Rally mode adds some playful character by softening the suspension and sending more torque rearward for loose-surface driving. Lamborghini has not announced official U.S. pricing yet, but expectations put the 2027 Urus SE Performante somewhere around $300,000 when it arrives closer to 2027. For buyers who want hybrid efficiency wrapped in outrageous Lamborghini attitude, this may be the most complete Urus yet.
