Roslyn fashion brand joins Knicks celebration
A fashion brand founded by a Roslyn Heights native found itself in the national spotlight during the New York Knicks’ 2026 championship celebration, as several players wore Siegelman Stable apparel throughout the team’s victory festivities.
The family-owned clothing company, founded in 2020 by Roslyn Heights native Max Siegelman, gained widespread attention after Knicks guard Jalen Brunson wore one of the brand’s signature hats during an appearance on “The Tonight Show” and again during the team’s ticker-tape parade through Manhattan. Brunson also wore the hat when he accepted a key to the city from New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
Other members of the NBA championship team also sported Siegelman Stable clothing during the celebration. The company has released a line of Knicks-themed hats and sells its apparel primarily through its website and seasonal pop-up shops in New York City and the Hamptons.
The brand traces its origins to Siegelman Racing Stable, founded in 1982 by Max’s father, Robbie Siegelman, a well-known harness racing trainer who was born and raised on Long Island. Robbie Siegelman began his career at Roosevelt Raceway in Westbury, where he trained horses before the historic track closed and was demolished in 2000. He later relocated his stable to New Jersey’s Meadowlands and eventually to an area south of Freehold to continue training standard bred racehorses.
Beyond racing, Robbie Siegelman devoted years to using horses to help others through equine therapy. He worked with children from Newark, N.J., and partnered with Hackensack Hospital to develop programs that allowed children undergoing cancer treatment to interact with racehorses as part of their emotional and physical recovery.
Those experiences helped inspire Max Siegelman when he launched Siegelman Stable in 2020.
Rather than simply creating another apparel label, he sought to preserve his family’s history in harness racing while introducing that story to a broader audience through contemporary fashion. The company’s logo pays tribute to the original Siegelman Racing Stable emblem, connecting the new brand to generations of family tradition.
According to the company, a portion of every purchase supports equine therapy programs, continuing the charitable mission established by the family decades earlier.
“I initially wanted to continue my family stable legacy by creating pieces for just family and friends,” Max Siegelman said on the company’s website. “Once I saw the attention it was getting, I realized there was an opportunity to impact even more people through the story and build real substance. The story is already built through horse racing and equine therapy now being retold through fashion.”
Founded just five years ago, Siegelman Stable has developed a following by blending equestrian influences with modern streetwear, creating apparel that reflects both the family’s heritage and contemporary fashion trends.
That visibility reached a new level during the Knicks’ championship run, culminating in the team’s parade through Lower Manhattan. As players celebrated the franchise’s title with hundreds of thousands of fans lining the streets, Siegelman Stable’s logo was prominently displayed on hats and apparel worn by several players, bringing national exposure to a brand whose story began on Long Island.
