Fashion and Accessory Brands Celebrate America's 250th Anniversary

In celebration of the Fourth of July and the U.S.’s semiquincentennial, American brands have released limited-edition capsule collections. The launches range from Wrangler’s Americana Collection of men’s, women’s and styles featuring stars and stripes patterns, bandanas and wild horse prints to Ralph Lauren’s American icons commemorative capsule. The collection marks the first time the U.S. Postal Service has invited an individual to curate an official and complete USPS stamp collection, the brand told WWD. In addition, to celebrate the moment, Lauren has debuted an “American Icons” commemorative capsule collection. Highlights include the 2026 American Flag stamp reimagined as the brand’s iconic American Flag sweater, ball cap and classic polo shirt. The line — designed for backyard barbecues, watching fireworks and family getaways — includes an array of baby, toddler and kids’ apparel ranging from a blue striped seersucker dress to onesies with hotdog and flag motifs as well as a few matching pajama styles for women.  Funboy x Aviator Nation Courtesy of Funboy Funboy x Aviator Nation Aviator Nation teamed up with the luxury pool company Funboy to launch a limited-edition collaboration collection that celebrates the magic of California summer. Key styles include paddle boards, a chaise lounge, and a quintessential tube float — all with Aviator Nation’s signature lightning bolt graphics, rainbow stripes and vibrant color palette. Highlights include signature Tabby handbags embellished with Americana motifs and a handcrafted American flag sweater vest. The seven leather good bags and two bag charms, part of America’s 250th collection, is releasing July 1.  Lingua Franca Courtesy of Lingua Franca Lingua Franca Ahead of the American holiday, New York-based knitwear brand Lingua Franca partnered with Tiny Pricks Project, the public art initiative founded by artist Diana Weymar and Chorus, the pro-democracy creator network, to release “We the People,” a creator-designed collection and art exhibition. The activation included a multiday gathering at Lingua Franca’s Townhouse from June 25 to 26; a 12-piece art collection, featuring works by Weymar within a curated exhibition and sale of works from Tiny Pricks Project; an assortment of bestselling Lingua Franca styles in cotton, and a 25-piece Chorus collection codesigned with 20 of its creators. The collection, which is available to shop via the knitwear brand’s e-commerce “support the missions of all three entities, highlighting the role artists, creators, and storytellers play in shaping civic culture and encouraging democratic participation,” the brand said in a statement. The collection includes 250 individually numbered, made-to-order Italian wool 1818 navy blazers featuring custom archival lining inspired by Brooks Brothers’ history. The line also features a 250th anniversary Liberty tie, which is a reissue of the label’s original 1976 Bicentennial design featuring the Liberty Bell motif and BB#1 Repp Stripe. The four fur felt hats feature red, white and blue satin liners; select hats ship in limited-edition USA 250 hat boxes, and pins vary from an American flag hat pin to a gold-tone USA branding iron pin.
