Prince George is out here stepping into the spotlight with his mom, Princess Catherine, and the internet simply cannot handle one specific detail: the kid is catching up to her in height. Seriously!

The mother-son duo made a public appearance at RAF Coningsby, and in an Instagram video posted to the palace’s account on Saturday, we got to see that it was far from just a polite wave-and-go situation. Ohhhh, no! They got the full experience — touring aircraft, checking out historic military planes, and even climbing into cockpits like it’s a royal field trip nobody else gets invited to.

But let’s be real — the internet didn’t zoom in on the planes. Nope. It zoomed in on the height situation. Prince George is now standing shoulder-to-shoulder-ish with Kate, and people are doing that classic double-take like, wait… when did he grow up????

TBH, this is peak royal reality check. One minute you’re the adorable toddler waving from a palace balcony, and the next you’re almost eye-level with your mother while touring military aircraft like it’s just another day.
Of course, the outing is also being framed as part of his gradual introduction to royal duties — because yes, this is still the long game of preparing a future king. No pressure or anything! Just casually growing up in front of the entire world while also prepping for a destiny-level job.
Sooooo yeah. Prince George is growing, time is flying, and the royal children are officially entering the “wait… wasn’t he just a baby?” era. And honestly… same! Ha!!
