NRL LIVE: Cody Walker opens scoring for Souths against Eels in Moses’ 250th

The Rabbitohs are out on the field, and now Mitch Moses leads out the Eels, with one child on his shoulder and another holding his hand. The trio almost get stuck trying to get through the “250 game” banner but they’re through it after a few awkward seconds, and then the rest of the team is on the field and we’re ready for kick-off.

Souths kick this one off and Sam Tuivaiti has the first hit-up of the game for Parramatta.

But only a couple of tackles later we have the game’s first mistake, Jack Williams spilling the ball just outside the Eels’ 20-metre line. The Rabbitohs get the first attacking chance of the game in the opening minute – but their set ends with David Fifita swamped by defenders and tackled on the last.
