Eyewitness footage captures moment Venezuela quake struck

Eyewitness footage shows the moment an earthquake rocked Maiquetia airport in Venezuela.

At least 32 people are dead and 700 injured, although the US Geological Survey has said it is likely the death toll could rise significantly.

Strong earthquakes struck west of Venezuela's capital, bringing down buildings in Caracas, trapping people in the rubble and prompting widespread destruction across the South American country.

A magnitude 7.2 earthquake hit about 160km west of Caracas, followed less than a minute later by a magnitude 7.5 tremor, according to the USGS.
