Russian stuff blowing up: Crimea in crisis as Ukraine attacks the Kerch Strait

Ukraine launched a blistering attack last night across Crimea and especially at infrastructure on both sides of the Kerch Strait. Drones struck port oil installations, air defense facilities and three ferries that carry trucks into Crimea. Also hit were gas compressors and power generating plants across the peninsula. Fuel is so short in Crimea that gas sales to civilians has been suspended. Time for bicycles and horse-drawn carriages. Video of the ferries on fire. The port at Kerch is also burning. And the power is out in many places in Crimea. Ukraine’s drone command says this is just an observation, not a hint of coming attractions. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge. Russia says trucks that used the Kerch ferries will just have to go by way of the highways through occupied territory. So how’s that working out? In Mariupol gas is now being sold by the milliliter. The brouhaha over Poland’s president stripping Zelenskyy of the Order of the White Eagle presented to him by the previous president continues unabated. Former Ukrainian presidents have also returned their honors as well as a Polish official. Tusk is Poland’s prime minister. How do you say gaslighting in Russian? Things are any better in Donetsk, where even school admissions have ground to a halt. In any normal administration he’d be canned. 🇺🇸🇺🇦 According to Regime Change book, Bessent privately urged Trump not to host Zelensky at the White House, – The GuardianBessent referred to the Ukrainian president as a “little fucker,” “the special-needs child for the Europeans,” and “Mr Bean on crack.”— MAKS 26 👀🇺🇦 (@maks23.bsky.social) 2026-06-20T20:34:43.907Z Trump’s decisions to play petty politics with weapons transfers is pushing the development of European and especially Ukrainian weapons without American components. The beatings will continue until training improves. I see posts like this more and more from people who post about Ukraine about their frustrations with Bluesky. They think Twitter is a better platform with more eyeballs. But Twitter is now making it harder for users who don’t pay for premium. This platform is becoming beyond a joke.Labels, restrictions, ruining the thread. One takes care to ensure there is nothing which could upset readers and this is what happens. Panic! 😱 “I’ll tell you what comes next: they’re going to keep finishing us off.” 5 years into the 3-day “SMO,” Russian propagandists are having to master a new genre – explaining a future defeat.
