And as royal fans widely shared the behind-the-scenes image, which showed Catherine beaming up at her husband, who was holding his top hat and an umbrella, they soon realised it marked the first time the couple had shared an image of their new home, Forest Lodge.
The glamorous couple stand on a patio outside the home they moved to on the Windsor Estate at the end of last year, in front of some double doors.
It is understood to be the first official photograph the couple has shared from their new Georgian home, a Grade-II listed property that recently underwent a significant refurbishment before their big move.
Royal fans were thrilled to catch a glimpse of the exterior of the home and many others took to the comments to compliment the couple on their outfit and say how pleased they were to see the couple attend the races together.
The Princess of Wales brought a ray of sunshine to Royal Ascot yesterday as she attended Royal Ascot for the first time since her cancer diagnosis.
Wearing a bright yellow dress by Roksanda, a matching hat by Jane Tyler and earrings that belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II, Catherine looked radiant as she sat beside the Prince of Wales in the carriage procession on the second day of the prestigious racing event.
It marks the first time she has attended Royal Ascot in three years, as she hasn’t attended since she was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer at the start of 2024.
The Princess had been due to attend the races last year, but pulled out at the last minute, leaving her husband to attend the event solo.
At the time, it was understood she was trying to find the right balance as she made a full return to public-facing engagements following her cancer treatment.
Catherine, who announced she was in remission from the disease in January 2025, has now returned to a normal schedule and went on her first official overseas work trip last month.
The Berkshire racecourse erupted in cheers when the Princess’s image was projected on the screens throughout the course, and loud applause and whoops met the royal party as the four horse-drawn carriages arrived in the parade ring shortly after 2pm.
Those travelling in the carriages then chatted to those in the presentation circle, with Lady Gabriella Windsor among the guests.
