Tributes pouring in for lovely lady found dead at her home in County Waterford
Tributes are being paid to an elderly woman who was found dead at her home in County Waterford, with words like ‘kind, caring, and generous’ used to describe Noreen Daly.
The body of the 81-year-old was found at her home in Ardsallagh, near Youghal Bridge in Waterford, yesterday afternoon (Monday).
Noreen Daly had lived alone since the death of her husband, Michael, in 2023.

She was discovered by a gardener who called to do some work at the house yesterday afternoon and contacted the emergency services. Mrs. Daly was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body has been taken to University Hospital in Waterford, where a post-mortem will be carried out.
A man in his 30’s has been arrested and is being held at a Garda Station in the Southeast.
The scene at the house has been preserved for technical examination.
