Louth hero drops F-bomb in post-match interview after famous win over Armagh
Louth star Dara McDonnell dropped an F-bomb in his post-match interview after the Wee County's famous win over Armagh in Round 2A of the All-Ireland Football Championship. With time all but up, Louth found themselves trailing by two points. Sam Mulroy heaved an effort towards goal from well outside the 45, but with the wind against him, it dropped agonosingly short.Keeper Ethan Rafferty rose highest to pluck the ball from the sky, but could only fumble it into the net, giving Louth a famous one-point win. That victory puts Louth into the All-Ireland quarter-finals.McDonnell was the star of the show, kicking 1-3 from play while wearing the number 6 shirt. He was interviewed by RTE after the game, but lost his composure for a moment as he let an F-bomb slip while chatting to Damian Lawlor. The youngster apologised with a grin, and when we cut back to the studio, pundit Lee Keegan remarked that McDonnell had no need to apologise after turning in such an excellent display, with Joanne Cantwell agreeing. For Armagh, a preliminary quarter-final awaits, while for Louth, they can look forward to a week off, with their place in the last-eight secure.Click here to sign up to our sport newsletter, bringing you the top stories and biggest headlines from Ireland and beyond
