Jobs for young people nearly halved in last decade
Nearly a week ago former cabinet minister Alan Milburn delivered an alarming report on why increasing numbers of 16 to 24-year-olds are out of work, education or training.
Now we can reveal new evidence of the scale of the challenge – research by the Work Foundation and Lancaster University, shared with this programme, shows the number of jobs available for young people entering the labour market has nearly halved in the last decade.
