David Corenswet's Superman Return Revealed In Man Of Tomorrow Set Photos & Video
The first look at David Corenswet's DC Universe return for 2027 has been revealed. Principal photography is currently underway on Man of Tomorrow, as @_uzairjan_ managed to get the first set pictures for Corenswet's Superman return. Check them out below. The set photos and video reveal Corenswet seemingly being back in the same suit as he wore in 2025's Superman movie. While it's unclear what he is holding, which will most likely be added through VFX in post-production, the Man of Steel can be seen lifting something as he is flying up in the air.
James Gunn revealed earlier on Monday the first image of Nicholas Hoult's Lex Luthor in his Warsuit for the Man of Tomorrow movie, as the DCU will introduce his iconic armor on the big screen. The director previously revealed that Krypton's last son and the famous foe will join forces for the 2027 installment against a common threat. The upcoming DCU movie will see the two rivals take on Brainiac, who will be played by Lars Eidinger, making it the famous Superman villain's film debut. Gunn's superhero adventure will also feature several stars from the franchise coming back to reprise their roles.

Milly Alcock's Supergirl, who made her Kara Zor-El debut in Corenswet's 2025 project, is confirmed to be back in Man of Tomorrow. That will mark her third appearance, as the Australian actor's sci-fi adventure is opening in theaters on June 26. Multiple Justice League heroes are also confirmed for Gunn's Superman continuation, including Isabela Merced's Hawkgirl and Aaron Pierre's John Stewart, a.k.a. Green Lantern, after he debuts in HBO's Lanterns this fall. Adria Arjona, Matthew Lillard, and Sinqua Walls have been tapped in mystery roles.
Rachel Brosnahan's Lois Lane and Frank Grillo's Rick Flag Sr. will also return in the new film, while Nathan Fillion's Guy Gardner and Edi Gathegi's Mister Terrific are reportedly showing up too. While Man of Tomorrow isn't coming out for over a year, Corenswet is reprising his role as Kal-El in Supergirl this summer. Since production is now happening more in public, it's possible audience members will get more glimpses of Gunn's highly anticipated sequel in the coming days. Given the timing of Hoult's Warsuit reveal, it wouldn't be shocking if they're getting ready to shoot with the British actor on location sooner rather than later. Man of Tomorrow opens in theaters on July 9, 2027.
