Netanyahu's coalition seeks to dissolve parliament and trigger early election in Israel
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's ruling coalition seized control of the electoral timetable on Wednesday by submitting a motion to dissolve Israel's parliament early, paving the way for early elections. The bill, which was signed by leaders of the six parliamentary groups in the governing coalition is expected to pass, meaning elections could be held as soon as late August, rather than the scheduled October 27.
