First Division round-up: Bray hold leaders Cork City

Runaway SSE Airtricity League First Division leaders Cork City were held to a draw for just the third time this season as Bray Wanderers battled their way to a 1-1 draw at the Carlisle Grounds. The Seagulls hit the front in the 28th minute after Ifu Achara capitalised on a rebound from Ben McCormack's long-range strike that ricocheted off the woodwork. Cork City equalised eight minutes into the second half via a spectacular 30-yard piledriver from Conor Drinan. Despite relentless attacking and missed opportunities from both sides, including penalty appeals and further interventions by the woodwork, the teams shared the spoils. UCD schooled Treaty United in a 3-0 win at Markets Field to leave the hosts rooted to the bottom of the table. The Students opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Hugh Smith turned home a croner. Six minutes later, Charles Akinrintayo doubled the advantage, pitting the finishing touches to a cross at the back post. Smith completed his brace in the 68th minute, swivelling and firing home in a dominant win. Athlone Town defeated Finn Harps 2-1 as Harps old boy Gradi Lomboto decided matters at Finn Park. Callum Cleary headed the opener in the 54th minute before Gavin McAteer equalised in the 69th minute. However, Lomboto struck at the death as he hammered home off the crossbar to inflict a third straight defeat on the hosts. In the night's other encounter, an early goal from Mikie Rowe and a late one from Gavin Hodgins saw Wexford record a 2-0 win over Cobh Ramblers at Ferrycarrig Park.
