We told how they found more than 100 pictures of so-called punishment beatings and torture as part of the Operation Armorum probe into the L-Mob’s transnational crime network.
The home is just a 10-minute walk from the Cost del Sol town’s popular Torreblanca Beach, close to the bar where Eddie Lyons Jnr, 46, and Ross Monaghan, 43, were shot dead in May last year.
Officers scouring the apartment discovered gory snaps found inside a piece of furniture in the ground-floor property.
Well-placed sources last night said work was ongoing in Spain and Scotland to try to identify the victims and establish whether they show crimes committed on the Costa del Sol or abroad.
One insider said of the pictures: “They were found inside a piece of furniture in an apartment which was being used as a meeting place by suspected members of the gang.
“People were constantly going in and out of the property, which was a very large apartment formed out of three initial properties which were made into one.
“They were pretty awful photos to be honest.
“They showed broken arms, part of an arm in a mincing machine, victims with bad head wounds.”

Another added: “Investigators haven’t been able to find out yet if the crimes evidenced by the photos were committed in Spain or elsewhere.
“It seems more likely at this stage they were committed outside of Spain but they have been sent through Interpol to Police Scotland and detectives in both countries are currently conducting more inquiries.
“It’s also possible of course, but unlikely, that the photos have been taken from the Internet and were being used to instil fear in rivals and enemies of the Lyons gang.”
The smashed-in door of the sun-kissed home has been replaced since a squad forced entry in co-ordinated strikes across Spain and Scotland on March 27.
Crime kingpin Steven Lyons, 46, was also lifted as he came off a flight from Singapore to Bali, Indonesia, before his deportation to Amsterdam where he now faces extradition to Spain.
The new details come after we revealed Spanish cops probing alleged Kinahan cartel “banker” Johnny Morrissey, 66, have identified 20 suspects, with ten of them located so far.
Lyons is said to have “relied on the services” of vodka firm boss Morrissey, who was arrested in Marbella, Spain, in 2022 with Scots wife Nicola. Both were later freed on bail.
Feared Irish crime godfather Daniel Kinahan, 48, who is linked to the Lyons, was held last week by police in Dubai.
