Tournament top seed Elena Rybakina averted an upset and won against Leylah Fernandez in the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, Germany in three sets, two of which went into a tiebreak. She needed exactly three hours to defeat Fernandez, 6(5)-7, 6-4, 7-6(6) on Friday, April 17.
