€3.1m spent on deportation flights for 367 non-nationals in 2025
The Department of Justice spent €3.17 million on deportation flights last year as it reintroduced charter flights for mass deportations as part of a stronger stance on failed asylum applications. The details were provided in a letter from the end of March, seen by the Currency, sent to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) from Oonagh McPhillips, the secretary general in the department.
