The house on the 43ac farm at Ballintober, RosemountWhen I think of Rosemount near Moate in Westmeath I think of the local stars that populated the firmament of country and Irish music in the 1970s and ’80s, people like Ray Lynam and the Hillbillies, TR Dallas and of course Foster and Allen.Ray Lynam carried the flag for good country music all his life. I think he hailed from Rosemount and his renowned recording studios bore the name of the village. Much of the music played on the airwaves of Ireland in the 1970s and ’80s was recorded in Rosemount Studios in Moate.
