Gov condemns ‘insulting’ changes to Grok AI as Ofcom launches review
The government has threatened to ban Elon Musk’s X if it doesn’t address the use of the AI tool Grok to generate non-consensual, sexual images, including of children.
Earlier today, X limited Grok’s image generation feature to paid users, but the Prime Minister’s spokesperson called that ‘insulting’ to victims, saying it turned the creation of unlawful images into a premium service.
Media regulator OFCOM, which has the power to ban X, says it will begin an urgent assessment.
