Trump Cancels Second Attack on Venezuela; SCOTUS to Convene on Tariffs | Bloomberg Brief 1/9/2026
US equity futures, Treasury yields and the dollar rise as investors brace for the December jobs report and a possible Supreme Court ruling on President Trump's global tariffs. The president posts on Truth Social that Venezuela is "working well" with the US and that he has canceled a previously expected second attack on Venezuela. President Trump is also expected to meet with oil executives at the White House. Veronica Clark of Citi looks ahead to the payrolls data.
