Archbishop Uy preaches faith after pre-fiesta fire in Labangon
CEBU CITY, Philippines — As Barangay Labangon celebrated its fiesta following a recent fire, Cebu’s archbishop reminded the community that faith is the true essence of healing. Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy on Sunday, December 14, presided over the Mass for the feast of Our Lady of the Remedies at Virgen de los Remedios Church in the barangay. Four days prior or during the novena leading to the feast, on Wednesday, December 10, a fire had razed houses along A. Lopez Extension, Balaga Drive in the area.
