Fiat delays UK deliveries of the Grande Panda
The news was first reported by British automobile magazine Autocar, citing a spokesperson for Fiat. Specifically, the spokesperson said: “The Grande Panda is enjoying significant demand in the left-hand-drive markets where it has been launched to date, impacting the start of production for the right-hand drive-cars for the UK.”This is quite a delay for a vehicle that was initially presented in July 2024, as nothing has changed in its measurements: the EV is 3.99 metres long, 1.57 metres high and 1.76 metres wide. There is space for up to five passengers, and the boot has a capacity of 361 litres. The small car is technically based on the CMP Smart Car platform. The UK order books for the Fiat Grande Panda were officially opened in September, available as either a battery-electric car or as a mild hybrid. We even already took it for a test drive in February. The electric Grande Panda runs on a 44 kWh battery and an electric drive that delivers 83kW for a range of up to 199 miles. The hybrid runs on a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine with a 21 kW electric motor. Prices remain at £20,995 and £18,995 for the electric and hybrid models, respectively.

Fiat even already went as far as adjusting the trim lines available in the UK for the model, replacing the entry-level ‘Red’ trim with one called ‘Pop’.autocar.co.uk
