MANILA, Philippines — The Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) is investigate a report about an alleged person posing as its representative, and offering lawmakers implicated in the flood control scandal to have their names removed from the case referrals to the ombudsman, in exchange for at least P100 million. “We want to verify that,” ICI Executive Director Brian Keith Hosaka said when asked in a press briefing on Friday about the story where there was allegedly a congressman who had been victimized by the supposed scammer.
