Two men, 30s, due in court in connection with €810,000 Dublin cannabis seizure
Two men are due in court this evening following the seizure of €810,000 worth of cannabis on Tuesday. A coordinated operation was conducted in South Dublin and North County Dublin on Tuesday as part of Operation TARA. During the course of this intelligence-led operation, Gardaí intercepted two vehicles in the Knocklyon area and conducted searches at two residential properties and one business premises. These actions resulted in the seizure of approximately 40.5 kilograms of cannabis with an estimated street value of €810,000 (analysis pending) along with €13,000 in cash, mobile phones and other items associated with drug distribution. A garda spokesperson said: "Two men, aged in their 30s, were arrested as part of the investigation and detained at Garda stations in Dublin under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. "Both have since been charged and are due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice at this evening's sitting, Wednesday 17th September 2025. Investigations remain ongoing."
