Netflix's Ozark Replacement's Impressive Global Streaming Streak Comes To An End After 5 Weeks
Netflix's Ozark replacement show The Waterfront has finally ended its impressive streak in the streamer's global charts. The show, created by Scream scribe Kevin Williamson, follows the fractured Buckley family as they seek to revive their crumbling North Carolina fishing empire, and dropped on Netflix in June 2025. The show is a modern crime drama in the vein of Netflix's hit multi-Emmy-winning show Ozark, and has received critical appraisal. The Waterfront has proven popular for its grim, pulpy narrative and complicated characters, and the show has performed well since its release. Per Netflix Tudum, the series has been performing well, and was inside the Netflix Global Top 10 Shows for five straight weeks, from 06/16 until 07/21. At the time of writing, it is the first time that the show has been outside of the streamer's global (and US) top 10 charts since its first day of release.
