Mother-of-four dies days before her birthday of a cardiac arrest after taking cocaine, inquest hears

A businesswoman died of a cardiac arrest after taking cocaine, an inquest heard today.Victoria Jones, who ran a successful wedding venue, died two days before her 43rd birthday, on December 23 last year.At a brief hearing in Ruthin, north Wales, John Gittins, senior coroner for North Wales East and Central, said the mother-of-four fell ill at home and was taken by ambulance to hospital in Wrexham.After a post-mortem examination and toxicity tests, pathologist Dr Mark Atkinson gave a provisional cause of death as cardiac arrest due to cocaine toxicity, with an underlying heart problem a contributory factor.The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.Mrs Jones, of Acrefair, near Wrexham, opened Tyn Dwr Hall, a Grade II* listed building as a wedding venue, in Llangollen, North Wales, with her husband, Matt, in 2016.In a tribute announcing his wife's funeral, which was posted on Facebook a few days after her death, Mr Jones, an ex-Royal Marine and managing director of a construction firm, wrote: 'On behalf of the children and myself, we want to sincerely thank everyone for the incredible outpouring of love and support over the past few days. 'This has truly been the most challenging time of my life, and your kindness has been a great source of comfort to us.' They are a product of her amazing environment she created. 'Charlie, Ali, Arayah, Evrah - you are her tribe, and will always be her wolf pack. You will all change this world for the better because your mummy gave you the tools to do so.'You might think I've been the driving force behind our beautiful family and our crazy adventures, but you'd be wrong.
