Horror as mother-of-five is killed in hit-and-run outside pub
A 'vibrant' mother-of-five has been killed in a hit-and-run as she left to go home from a Halifax pub - which has seen two teenagers arrested. Sue Davis, 50, from Halifax, West Yorkshire, died after she was hit outside the Flying Pig pub in the town's Wheatley area just after 1am on Tuesday. The burgundy Mazda 5 did not stop at the scene - but instead kept travelling along Crag Lane towards the centre of Halifax after the horrible late-night crash. Two teenage boys, aged 15 and 18, were later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Both have now been bailed pending further enquiries.Ms Davis's family said: 'Sue was a great, vibrant character. There was never a dull moment with her. 'She was a mother-of-five and was well-known within her community. She will be sadly missed.'The tragedy is still being investigated by the Major Collision Enquiry Team at West Yorkshire Police. A force spokesperson said: 'Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward, or anyone who saw the movements of the vehicle immediately prior to it.'
