Toyota’s never been one to let a sports car quietly bow out, and the GR Supra is no exception. With the A90 generation nearing the end of its run, the brand is rolling out a Final Edition for 2026, offering a mix of cosmetic tweaks and subtle mechanical updates for American buyers. Last month, Toyota unveiled the A90 Final Edition version of the GR Supra for those markets, complete with new performance upgrades offering a hefty 94-horsepower boost, and a price tag to match. The US-bound version carries the same name, but the enhancements are far more restrained. Like the overseas model, the US-spec GR Supra MkV Final Edition is finished in matte black and includes several red accents, such as the brake calipers. Toyota’s engineers have also worked on the aerodynamics, adding a carbon fiber lip spoiler at the rear, new flaps to the front wheel arches, and large front tire spats. What it doesn’t get is the EU and JDM’s fixed rear spoiler. Suspension Tweaks and Minor Upgrades There’s some modest suspension tuning here as well. Toyota has revised the electronically-controlled shock absorbers and added a new front stabilizer bar. The rubber bushings in the front control arms have also been strengthened, and there are new rubber mounts for the rear sub-frame. The MkV Final Edition promises less understeer, too, thanks to differential revisions and an optimized power steering system, while larger Brembo rotors should improve braking. Buyers can also opt for the GT4-style appearance package, which takes cues from the Supra GT4 EVO2 race car. This bundle adds GR graphics on the sides, a matte carbon rear spoiler, a matte black Supra emblem, and red mirror caps. Updates made to the cabin are limited to red stitching and red highlights, as well as seats trimmed in leather and Alcantara. Toyota has not announced any pricing details for this special version of the Supra. However, we do know that it retains the standard 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine with 382 hp and 368 lb-ft (499 Nm) of torque. While that should make the car plenty fast enough, Europe and Japan’s Final Edition offer significantly more power, at 429 hp and 420 lb-ft (570 Nm). In addition to the Final Edition, the 2026MY Supra lineup will include the standard GR Supra 3.0 and 3.0 Premium trims. Buyers will be able to choose from several exterior colors, including Stratosphere, Absolute Zero, Nocturnal, and Renaissance Red 2.0. Inside, the base model features a 10-speaker audio system, while the Premium gets a 12-speaker setup courtesy of JBL.
