GB News star aims three-word dig at Donald Trump after Ukraine intelligence ban
Ex-GB News presenter Isabel Webster made a veiled dig at Donald Trump after it was announced that the US has stopped sharing intelligence with Ukraine. This is yet another major blow to Kyiv as Ukraine has relied heavily on US intelligence to keep track of Russian movements and used the information to prepare for Russian attacks. This came after Trump’s suspension of military aid on Monday, following his heated Oval Office confrontation with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky.Having her say on the matter, Webster, 42, made a dig at the US president as she took to her Instagram Stories, writing: "Donald Trump has pulled the plug on intelligence..."She added: "No jokes please!" followed by the Ukraine flag.Webster has been vocal of her support for Ukraine, concluding that the country needs help from the US after witnessing the furious meeting between Trump and Zelensky. She wrote: "Imagine being Ukrainian right now, watching your President get rounded on by a pair of grown men behaving like playground bullies. Despair cannot even come close."Ukraine desperately needs America - but if they want US support it seems they cannot have any dignity…"She later reposted: "This is no way to treat the leader of a country being pummelled by Russia. It’s quite upsetting. Trump and Vance gang up on Zelensky. No way for leaders to behave. Trying to intimidate Zelensky. Vance attacks Z then accuses him of disrespect because he answers back."Last year, GB News viewers were stunned after learning Webster had been axed from the channel. She presented the GB News breakfast show alongside Eamonn Holmes since its inception in 2021, but was replaced by Ellie Costello. The reason behind the broadcaster's sudden departure remains unconfirmed, but an insider told MailOnline that "Isabel was too woke and not on message" for the channel's brand. Her exit was part of a huge shake-up at the channel which also saw Mark Dolan axed and Jacob Rees-Mogg's hours cut.Taking to X, Dolan disclosed news of his exit from the Saturday evening programme he'd helmed for four years, writing: "GB News have made the decision to permanently relieve me of my duties at the channel. I will speak publicly about this in due course."He then told viewers on his new programme, The Mark Dolan Show, that he was fired.
