Man's body is found near golf course in Bury as police close off road
Police cordoned off a road in Bury last night after a man's body was found near a golf course. Emergency services rushed to the scene at Longsight Road in Ramsbottom at around 5pm after responding to concern for welfare reports. The road - an area spanning around half a mile - was closed off for the majority of the evening after police, fire crews and ambulances were alerted to the incident. Sadly, a man was found dead at the scene nearby Holcombe Brook Sports and Tennis Club. A spokesperson for the force said: 'At around 5pm last night emergency services responded to reports of a concern for welfare on Longsight Road, Ramsbottom.'Sadly, a man was found deceased at the scene. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances at this time.'
