Man, 20, who sexually assaulted a homeless woman on a busy street is jailed

A 20-year-old man, who sexually assaulted a homeless woman on a busy street in a city centre, has been jailed. Morgan Kemble of Brackla, Bridgend, approached the victim who sat outside a shop on a street in Cardiff with a sleeping bag draped over her legs. Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court heard how the predator approached the woman and remarked: 'Beautiful, what are you doing?'He then placed his arm around the woman and sat beside her on the floor, the court heard last Tuesday. The homeless woman asked Kemble to stop and tried to pull his arm away, adding that he made her feel 'uncomfortable', WalesOnline reports.Prosecuting, Bethan Evans, said the victim struggled as Kemble continued to hold on to her and put his hands beneath her sleeping bag, and later touched her genitals. The 20-year-old was later taken into custody and was then bailed. He has now been sentenced to one year in a young offenders institute after pleading guilty to sexual assault (Pictured: Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court)His parents allowed him to stay after being scared by Kemble, who he could briefly remain their home claiming he was suicidal. Two days later officers were called to the home, but the offender had left the home before they arrived. Kemble's mother was then made aware of suspicious activity on a bank card, and discerned it was missing. Several transactions made - totalling to £76.83 - on the card in the area of Pyle and Kenfig Hill in Bridgend. After she looking at her doorbell camera footage, she witnessed Kemble coming into her home using a key his parents had previously requested he give back. Kemble pleaded guilty to  breach of a non-molestation order, fraud by false representation, burglary and sexual assault. The 20-year-old also had eight previous convictions, which included robbery, criminal damage, and shoplifting, the court was told. He was sentenced to three years in a young offenders institute for these previous crimes. The additional year he has been given for his most recent offences will be served consecutively.  Advertisement Share or comment on this article: Man, 20, who sexually assaulted a homeless woman on a busy street is jailed
